DC has been so great to me over the past couple of years. I’ve been able to grow my passion for photography into a business and I wouldn’t have been able to do it without a little help from amazing people along the way. One such influencer is Ivory Zorich from the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA).

Gary Adornato, founder of Varsity Sports Network in Baltimore gave me my first shot. I call it my “big break” because it was in the spring of 2008, I’d just graduated from college, and the job market was so wildly saturated that few new grads were getting jobs–the least of which, in media.

A great video find from six years ago, Stephen Colbert and Steve Carell spontaneously burst out into song (the national anthem) during an interview. American, funny and surprisingly well-harmonized, this is worth a watch.
