If you’re a tech enthusiast looking for a good time and you live in the DC area [or even if you don’t], do we have an event you won’t want to miss.

It’s called the Tech Adventure – and it’s a first-ever attempt to take the "i" out of iPhone and give like-minded digital media experts the things what "we" want:  adventure and booze.

The adventure begins at the U.S. Capitol Building where everyone will board the tour bus and embark on an epicurean expedition through the Shenandoah Valley, singing, laughing, talking, conspiring, plotting, eating cheese, watching scenery burn by like shooting stars and wondering why you don’t do this more often.

Destination: Rappahannock Cellars

The event is sponsored by such folks as New Media StrategiesJess3 –  Leslie BradshawBradshaw Vineyards and even FamousDC .

Tech Adventure is about living, about life and experience and slapping the iPhones out of the hands of people who Twitter while sitting on panels telling people things they already know.

In order to put this event in perspective, when you think of Tech Adventure – think of this as a way to collaborate on the next “big thing” in Washington’s tech scene.  In our opinion, it’s a solid attempt to take the tech scene boldly out of it’s parents’ basement.

The Tech Adventure site says it all:

Peruse the wine cellar, the vineyard, the estate, consult the winemaker, adopt kittens from the proprietor’s family. Picnic, play lawn games, fall in love, forge alliances, build empires, Tweet. Lose yourself in bluegrass and jazz performances by acclaimed local artists, the Marie Miller Trio. Maybe dance? Maybe not! Follow up your favorite wine samples with a glass or bottle to share.

And in case that’s not enough to convince you to attend:

"The idea started with taking a car full of friends, which then became a mini-bus, and then a mini-bus with a karaoke machine, and now we’re chartering buses. Folks are clearly interested in getting more out of the DC Social Media scene than the same stale format," said Justin Herman, founder of TechAdventure. "This time its a winery, maybe next time we’ll charter a boat – its all about getting out of the echo-chamber and providing an experience, and with all of these ingenious DC tech masterminds on board you can be damn sure we’re going to deliver."

Trust us, this is the must attend event of the summer – and it involves good people and good booze, so don’t be silly, sign up today – because tickets are going fast.
