Congratulations to John Cassidy, who is leaving the hill after nearly eight years with Sen. Bill Cassidy (R-LA). Cassidy will join Merck as director of U.S. policy communications and media; Also leaving the hill, veteran staffer Chan Park is making a move to Monument Policy Group as a principal. Park most recently served as general counsel to Senate Judiciary Committee ranking member Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA); After more than three years with CNN, Ashley Codianni has been promoted to Senior Director for Social Media; The National Association of Manufacturers adds Andrew Clark, Michael Short, and Chris Netram. Clark will serve as manager of digital communications, Short as senior director of strategic communications, and Netram as vice president for tax and domestic policy. Jennifer Drogus and Keith Smith have been promoted to vice president for executive operations and strategy and senior vice president for public affairs and mobilization; From the Financial Times, senior communications manager Chris Chafin is making moves to BBC Global News Limited, where he’ll help lead media relations; Cort Bush has been promoted to senior tech and telecommunications professional staff member for the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation; The American Bus Association welcomes Seth Coppe from the National Governors Association as external affairs liason;  Kelly Hitchcock, most recently a senior staffer for the financial services and general government subcommittee, has joined the Investment Company Institute as director for financial services policy; Most recently a reporter for CNN politics, Tom LoBianco is rejoining the AP to cover the Trump administration;The New York Times adds two from the Washington Post: Thomas Gibbons-Neff and Jia Lynn Yang. Neff joins as a Pentagon correspondent and Yang will be a deputy national editor; The Financial Times has named Lyndsey Jones executive editor, Robin Kwong head of digital delivery, Paul Murphy investigations editor, and Pilita Clark as business columnist and associate editor; Peter Donovan has joined the Managed Funds Association as executive vice president, managing director, and chief operating officer. Also at the MFA, David Landers, Lou Costantino Jr., and Sarah Morgan have been promoted on the government relations team; The National Automobile Dealers Association adds Rep. Dan Lipinski (D-IL) staffer Paul Dorsey as manager of legislative affairs; Caeli Mahon, most recently press secretary for Rep. Jeff Denham (R-CA), has joined Targeted Victory as an associate; S-3 Public Affairs adds Tara Bauer; Ben Kane, most recently a senior associate at the Glover Park Group, is recently joined Purple Strategies as an account manager; The Harbour Group adds Adam Sharon, previously with Prime Strategies, as a senior vice president; Michelle Peters Wellington, most recently a senior vice president at Sloane & Company, is joining SKDKnickerbocker as a senior vice president.
