TUESDAY JAM
Brought to you by Tazewell Jones of Bryant Row.
Happy 2-0 to one of the greatest hip hop albums of all time! When Outkast released their sophomoric “ATLiens” in 1996, they blew the lid off conventional conceptions of hip hop. From their emphatic interest in otherworldly sounds and references to their willingness to blend genres new and old – from psychedelia to southern soul – with ATLiens, Outkast had truly arrived on the scene. From all of us at FamousDC, and especially this guy and this guy, happy anniversary, Outkast, and thank you!

THIS DAY IN HISTORY
On this day in 1970, the ever so famous Lou Reed played his heart out as his official last show with the Velvet Underground, a New York City American rock band that made history in the world of rock n’ roll.
Also on this day 20 years ago, the web was officially introduced to the world by Sir Tim Berners-Lee and his crew of internet gurus.
