Media Internship – Video Production

FamousDC is seeking a qualified individual to assist in their video production department.  This internship opportunity is based in Washington, DC.  The ideal candidate will work closely with FamousDC’s existing creative team to create original, video-based content for the site. You should have a creative mind and a deep interest in politics and DC life. You should be able to research, pitch, and develop new visual story ideas and formats, as well as capture and cut footage.

Responsibilities

• Assist with producing engaging, multimedia content
• Setup basic lighting configurations
• Manage workloads effectively to meet project deadlines
• Assist team to research, pitch, and develop new visual story ideas and formats
• Assist Production team with administrative tasks

Requirements:

• Experience with cameras, audio and lighting equipment
• Ability to work with DSLR style cameras and professional audio equipment
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite
• Proven ability to create compelling, shareable web videos
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work well alone and with a team
• A positive, curious, playful disposition

Media Internship – Editorial and Social

FamousDC is seeking a qualified individual to assist their team with editorial and social responsibilities.  This internship opportunity is based in Washington, DC.  The ideal candidate will work closely with FamousDC’s Content team members with day to day editorial and social duties. You should have a creative mind and a deep interest in politics and DC life. You should be a self starter who is always up for a challenge and works well with others in a collaborative environment.

• Assist in researching, pitching, and developing new visual story ideas and formats
• Multitask and meet strict deadlines
• Assist Content team with administrative tasks

Requirements:

• Has a great and creative sense of humor
• Can multitask and track large amounts of information at once
• Works well under pressure and strict deadlines
• Has excellent written and verbal skills
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Newsroom experience is a plus

Internship – General Assignment
