Of the many aspects to love about hip hop (and there are many), one of my favorites is how artists use sampling to celebrate older works. It’s arguable no one has done this better than A Tribe Called Quest, who in a single track experimented with flavors as disparate as Freddie Hubbard, Sly and the Family Stone, Mountain and The Doors to get your mouth watering.
