On the last day in their office building before they move across the street, The Washington Post teamed up with 1776 and gathered successful and emerging millennial entrepreneurs for conversations, a pitch contest and networking. The summit was for and about millennials and the ways in which they disrupt, innovate, and inspire today’s society. Like it or not, the Gen Y cohort is swaying elections, changing industries, and becoming leading entrepreneurs. The inGENuitY Summit served to inform and inspire this enigmatic group of movers and shakers.

A full day’s agenda was planned for the summit during which various speakers, industry leaders, and entrepreneurs spoke to the group. The audience heard from the brains behind Thrillist, theSKimm, Bumble, and more. We were honored to see FamousDC co-founder, Amos Snead, among the impressive group.

Amos (center) discussed the ways in which FamousDC found success in a world of millennials. “It’s about the people,” he says, “Good content should be concise, compelling, and consistent; but focusing that content around the people is what allows it to go viral.”

Amos was joined by equally impressive entrepreneurs, Pat Quinn– co-creator of the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge and Andy Bromberg- co-founder and CEO of Sidewire Inc. James Hohmann and Elise Viebeck of the Washington Post moderated the Q&A.
