    This round had some highlights, low-lights, no-lights and the first ever overtime match.

    @almacy vs. @briandevine

    WINNER: @almacy

    @almacy got off to a rolling start by showing everyone his bald eagles , and kept it going with a strong endorsement by @levydr . @briandevine’s use of another Brian was simply sad . We at FamousDC aren’t into settling, so we’re going to hand this one to the former WH web master.

    @humanfolly vs. @matthewgagnon

    WINNER: @matthewgagnon

    This was a battle of the busy. If by "busy" we mean "people who didn’t have to go to work." @matthewgagnon was home with an ill child, and kept us updated (for goodness sake, try a vegetable ). He also accurately described the state of daytime TV , and took Skip to the cleaners . @humanfolly is in Europe. Because we have never traveled East of the Ugly Mug or West of Rhino Bar, and are jealous. We’re going with Gagnon.

    @ontheredline vs. @lizglover

    WINNER: @ontheredline

    @ontheredline provided us with the best tip of the competition . Whoops. We mean this one . No better way to get on FamousDC’s good side than by promoting one of our Famous5 friends and providing an outlet for free brew.

    @mikemadden vs. @patrickruffini

    OVERTIME: Poll below.

    Both of these guys went to the same Ivy League school . Neither of them understood the rules . Moral of the story: save $200,000 and go here

    PS: We were tempted to give the match to @mikemadden for the first POTUS picture of the challenge, but this is too fun to pass up.

    Therefore, physical challenge: first one to run from the Capitol to the Quad and back wins. Wait, we forgot. They went to an Ivy League School. It could take years. Let’s settle this one by popular vote. Mike and Patrick–feel free to lobby via twitter. This should be a knock-down-drag-out 34th Street-style.

    >>SCROLL DOWN FOR POLL.

    Voting ends tomorrow at 10am.  One more time, voting ends tomorrow at 10am.

    @erickaandersen vs. @TheSleuth

    WINNER: @ErickaAndersen

    @erickaandersen wins purely because of past endorsements and because @TheSleuth sent zero tweets today.

    @robertjameson vs. @GStephanopoulos

    WINNER: @robertjameson

    Is @robertjameson the Siena of this tourney? He didn’t bring much heat today, but it was enough to send Mr. Stephanopoulos packing. We’ll keep our eyes on this guy moving forward.

    @jess3 vs. @leslieann44

    WINNER: @leslieann44

    @leslieann44 advances to the next round, although she’s more concerned with making love, not war . Regardless, she lives to face an opponent in the next round.

    @levydr vs. @pwgavin

    WINNER: @levydr

    @levydr’s match-up was the Twitter equivalent of running back the opening kick-off for six points. His Devin Hester-like performance helped him advance over his no show opponent this round … but battles wait.

    What awaits the rest of the FamousDC Bracket Twitter March Madness Spectacular Challenge? Will former VP candidates endorse ?
