CANNABIS ADVOCATES HIT THE HILL: A group of medical marijuana center owners and operators and other pro-pot advocates are on Capitol Hill today pressing their case to congressional offices. They have “a number of meetings set with key staffers” and will be holding an open congressional staff briefing at 1 p.m. in Room 402 of theCannon House Office Building, says Steve Fox of the National Cannabis Industry Association . “Simply by being in Washington and lobbying on the Hill, they are helping to change the way people perceive the industry,” Fox tells PI. “They are able to convey how this is a compassionate and caring endeavor. At the same time, it is producing jobs and generating tax revenues.”
