Masks, sequins, tuxes, oh my! That was the scene Saturday night at the Tenfold Forty’s Black & White Affair at F. Scott’s in Georgetown, and from what my sources tell me, it was a great time!
Founded in February 2009, The Tenfold Forty, a group of 40 women dedicated to raising awareness of women’s health issues, hosted their annual black tie event to benefit the John Hopkins Center for Cervical Dysplasia, which supports clinical research on the treatment of HPV-caused cervical cancer. Although I could not attend, my fabulous friends and DC socialistas, Kimberly Martin and Cheryl Romero, were present and reported that the party was a well-attended success with party-goers dressed to the nines and dancing into the wee hours of the night.
The party was held at the Clyde’s Restaurant Group’s F. Scott’s, which was a hot spot back in the 1970’s. Although it is small and in need of remodeling, the venue provided a retro-glam vibe that gave the party additional character. An open bar and food samplings were provided for those who purchased the $75-$85 tickets, but as with most popular parties in DC, supplies dwindled shortly after midnight. However, that didn’t stop everyone from dancing and all-out revelry as you can see in these pictures from DC Hot Spot’s coverage of the event.
All in all, my friends had a great time and were pleased to support such a great charity, as you can see from their gorgeous picture below.
Thanks Tenfold Forty for inviting FamousDC to the event!
