Famous 5: Father’s Day Brunch Spots
It’s Sunday and sports are on but you want to get your Father off the recliner and celebrate Father’s Day. Where to go? I dug deep on this one my friends and tried to cover some fun scenarios for all types of Dads. Here’s my top 5 recommendations:
Nationals Park – take your Dad out to the game and hit the Bullpen for beers. Once inside the park, grab some garlic-parmesan frites with smoked bacon aioli at Box Frites followed by the ShakeBurger at the new Shake Shack. No three strikes with this lineup.
Morton’s – what man doesn’t like steak? Treat Dad to a special 3-course menu for $69. Full Morton’s menu also available and more than one Morton’s location in the DC/MD/VA area to choose from.
Old Glory – if your Dad enjoys BBQ over steak, take him to this Georgetown spot for their Whole Hog Father’s Day Brunch ($18.95). Dishes include roasted suckling pig, brisket hash and peach cobbler. Dads will receive two Pabst Blue Ribbon beers and will be entered into a drawing to win a Weber Kettle Grill. Score!
Co Co Sala – does your Dad like a little chocolate with his bacon and beer? Head to this location for the Father Knows Best Brunch! Multi-course Prix Fixe Menu ($36) includes brunch cocktails – Bacon Bloody Mary or Beer Bellini.
Manassas Wine and Jazz Festival – is your Dad a wino? Grab a picnic basket full of summer sausage, cheese and grapes and enjoy wine and live jazz at this annual festival.
