The DCCC is not pleased with the NRCC:  [how dare you]

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) is not amused with a Republican fundraising letter released yesterday that purported to be from Nancy Pelosi.

Part of the letter read:

“Many of you have been asking, ‘Where are the jobs?’ But what you fail to realize is no one needs a job when the federal government takes care of you.”

So how exactly did the DCCC react?

The DCCC responded today, accusing the NRCC of “forgery,” calling the email “despicable” and “full of lies, distortions, and even an electronic forgery of Speaker Pelosi’s signature.”

Note: This is the same DCCC that featured the “I’m Sorry Rush” apology machine that allowed users to craft letters from several prominent Republican politicians.

UPDATE: Below is a letter from Karl Rove, penned by the DCCC – which even speaks on the behalf of Dick Cheney.

From: “Karl Rove, DCCC”

Subject: I’m Watching You

You see I’ve been watching you and other Democratic activists and let me say I’m a bit concerned. Over the past eight months Democrats in the House have made life for my Republican friends and me difficult — issuing subpoena after subpoena. This has got to stop.

Democrats have only been able to take these actions because people like you have backing them up.

On behalf of Dick Cheney, I order you not to contribute to the DCCC by clicking here: Contribute to the Democratic Majority Matching Fund Drive.

Insincerely,
Karl Rove
