Paddling through the streets of different cities with friends and a little booze is one of the warm weather mainstays sweeping the nation. From Nashville to Northern Virginia, you can rent a paddle bike for your special event.
In Arlington, Pedal Saloon has been operating around Wilson Blvd. transporting patrons on a pub-crawl bike bar. Pedal Saloon individual tickets for $35 and a full rental for 14 people for $420 with drink specials offered at locations like Wilson Hardware, Don Tito’s, and The Spirit of 76. This is a unique experience if you don’t want to roll up to a bar in a regular Uber during a special occasion or want to amplify your nightlife experience on any old weekend. The downside to operating in Virginia is that patrons are not permitted to consume alcohol on the pedal bar. Nonetheless, this is an affordable option that is worth trying this spring or summer.
The newest paddling feature is actually on the Potomac River. Potomac Paddle Pub is the first and only cycle boat in the nation’s capital. This 10-person bar allows patrons to bring your own wine or beer for boat rides on the Potomac. Rides are 90-minutes long and cost $45 a person or $500-$625 for a full boat rental.
