#Weekend

Awesome events: The kickoff continues this weekend for the newest hood in DC, The Wharf; Pub Dread awaits your impending demise; You don’t have to be drunk to feel like you’re going above and below this weekend at Dupont Circle (but you can be); Meridian Hill Park is hosting a free outdoor opera concert tomorrow and it actually sounds kind of lovely; Do something good this weekend – donate, volunteer or join the walk to end Alzheimer’s; Because dogs deserve pool parties too; What’s better than free candy corn? Everything and Improv Brunch is a part of that.

#Watch

Because we can’t wait for Halloween (literally) to remind ourselves and our viewers how much we love kids, candy and bribing kids with loads of candy.

#NewsYouCanLose

The oldest building on the National Mall is undergoing a makeover; Being allowed to watch Taylor Swift doesn’t make it less creepy; A little salt in the wound for the U.S. Men’s soccer team; Want to travel but don’t know where? ‘Surprise Vacations’ can help with that; When you love a good pumpkin spice latte, but you also love getting drunk; Explore the Shenandoah before you start complaining about it being too cold outside.
