If there was ever a time for the sweetest candy puns, this would be it. Last night Christopher “Gindy” Gindlesperger of the National Confectioners Association made a king-sized announcement – he and girlfriend fiancé, Adriana Brizuela, are engaged!

The two sweethearts spent a romantic evening in DC after Adriana took a scavenger hunt-style tour of her favorite spots in town. She was then lead back to their home in Georgetown where the ultimate surprise awaited her – think Ring Pop, but better.

Says Gindy of his fiancé, “She’s been an amazing partner and I am so excited to make our best-friendship official.”
