Let’s take it back to when the first round of the Clinton’s campaign for the White House officially began. At the 1992 Democratic Convention, Bill Clinton accepted his presidential nomination for the democratic party, just as Hillary will tonight.
So how much has really changed in the past 24 years? Let’s take a look…
Location:
Then: Bill’s convention took place in the Big Apple
Now: Hillary’s DNC is set in the City of Brotherly Love
Platforms:
Then: Bill emphasized a focus on the economy
Now: Hillary focuses on being stronger together by fighting for justice and equality
Bill’s Hair:
Then: A perfect blend of salt and pepper
Now: Much more salt with hardly any pepper
He might want to get his sodium levels check out…
Hillary’s Outfits:
Then: Brightly colored skirts and dresses were her go-to look
Now: She’s kept the bright colors, but changed those skirts into pantsuits
Performances:
Then: Fleetwood Mac was the main performer
Now: Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Demi Lovato, Fergie, Snoop Dogg, Lenny Kravitz, Boys II Men… we’ve got too many to count
Discussing the DNC:
Then: You discussed the convention in person with your friends over coffee
Now: You use social outlets to state your own opinions and hope people agree with them enough to throw you a “like”
