It’s Wednesday, which means tonight is the second-to-last night of the Democratic National Convention. We’re still waiting on some major speakers to hit the stage, and some of them — including President Obama — will address the crowd this evening.
Here’s everything you need to know for tonight.
WEDNESDAY IN NEWS:
- Speakers tonight will include actress Sigourney Weaver, Vice President Joe Biden, Tim Kaine, and President Barack Obama. One of these names is a liiiitttle out of place.
- Last night, Hillary Clinton was formally nominated as the Democratic party’s candidate for president. She is the first woman to ever secure this nomination for a major political party in the history of the United States.
- During the roll call vote, Larry Sanders cast a teary vote for his little brother.
- High profile security officials believe that Russia was behind the DNC email leak.
- In a press conference today, Donald Trump invited Russia to hack the rest of Hillary’s emails, saying, “Russia, if you’re listening, I hope you’re able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing.”
