Philadelphia is rich with history. After all, it was a major hot spot for our forefathers – it’s the home of the Liberty Bell, the Declaration of Independence and (fun fact) home of the very first Republican National Convention in 1856.
Are we missing anything? Oh yeah – it’s the birthplace and home of the world renowned Philly Cheesesteak sandwich.
Everyone in Philly knows that you don’t mess with this main course meal. You do not ask questions and you do not waste its time. You order it, you eat it, and you better f*cking love it. According to visitphilly.com, when ordering a cheesesteak, you let your cashier know what you want in as little time as possible. Had we known better, we would’ve done just that.
Unfortunately, we didn’t.
