You’ve heard speeches, chants, and everything in between at this year’s Republican National Convention, and next week will likely be the same song and dance.
Thankfully, Morning Consult and S-3 Public Affairs are spearheading the congressional point of view at the conventions this year. The growing media outlet and public affairs firm demonstrated their reach and influence by bringing together some of the top leaders in both the House and Senate for candid conversations about legislative efforts in Congress and their priorities for the rest of the year.
In Cleveland, they convened House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy, House Majority Whip Steve Scalise, House Majority Chief Deputy Whip Patrick McHenry, Senator Cory Gardner, Senator Davie Perdue, Senator Joni Ernst, and Senator Thom Tillis for one-on-one conversations with Fawn Johnson and Cameron Easley of Morning Consult.
FamousDC got the chance to catch up with each of them as they were leaving the event. Senator Thom Tillis (R-NC) even extended an invite for dinner and dessert so we could witness his kitchen skills.Morning Consult and S-3 Public Affairs have another all-star lineup next week in Philly with Rep. Jim Clyburn, Rep. Adam Schiff, Rep. Steve Israel, Rep. Ben Ray Lujan, Rep. Chris Van Hollen, Sen. Dick Durbin, House Minority Whip Steny Hoyer and a Mayors roundtable with Boston Mayor Martin Walsh, Kansas City Mayor Sly James, Nashville Mayor Megan Barry, and Denver Mayor Michael Hancock. RSVP here.
Big thanks to Morning Consult, S-3 Public Affairs, and the city of Cleveland for a great week. See you in Philly!
Here are some great photos from the RNC event from Morning Consult photographer Rob Kunzig.
