Keeping Up With the Uptons
Strange things happen on the Hill all the time. In fact, it’s strange when something strange doesn’t happen.
Yesterday, supermodel Kate Upton was in town with fiancé and pitcher for the Detroit Tigers, Justin Verlander. The two were in DC for a three-game series between the Washington Nationals and the Detroit Tigers which ends today. On the couple’s agenda was a tour of the U.S. Capitol, given to them by Kate’s uncle, Rep. Fred Upton (R-MI).
Among the witnesses and fans was Tom Wilbur, Rep. Fred Upton’s Communications Director and more subtly, a Fred Upton impersonator – as seen in this picture taken by Tom Williams.
The strangest part though? Not the fact that Tom got mistaken for his boss and a Member of Congress, but he was mistaken for Kate Upton’s relative, which we assume he’s ok with not being – you know, in case it doesn’t work out with Justin.
