When news broke of the DC Metro shutting down for 29 hours for a massive safety inspection sparked by Monday morning’s electrical fire, Twitter had a field day. I mean come on, this is mass transit we’re talking about – mass transit in one of the most important cities in the world. The Metro can’t just decide to take a sick day.
