Micah Johnson is Making Big Moves
Micah Johnson, press secretary for Sen. Bob Corker, will wrap up five years in the Senate on Friday and join the Rubio presidential campaign as a regional spokeswoman. The pride of Kodak, TN (not far from the hometown of one of her favorites, Ms. Dolly Parton), Micah started her time in the Corker office as an intern and worked her way up to press secretary. Recognized by colleagues on both sides of the aisle as a communications pro, Micah also served as the Vice President of the Senate Press Secretaries Association.
Congrats Micah!
“After five truly incredible years, Friday will be my last day in the United States Senate.
Senator Corker is the first elected official for which I ever cast a ballot. He gave me my first college internship and my first job after graduation. Working for him and serving the people of my home state has been the honor of a lifetime.
Beginning Saturday, I will serve as a regional spokeswoman for Marco Rubio’s presidential campaign. While bittersweet to leave Team Corker, I am excited about my next chapter and truly honored to be given this new opportunity.”
