Earlier this summer, longtime Districtonian, Beutler Ink founder and consulting Wikipedia expert William Beutler organized 35 of the world’s top PR firms to write and sign a statement pledging to follow the online encyclopedia’s rules (it’s sometimes a problem).
And just this month, Beutler announces that he’s joined with the Council of Public Relations Firms and Institute for Public Relations to release an ebook titled “Wikipedia and the Communications Professional: A Manual” aimed at PR pros who know Wikipedia matters in shaping public perceptions but don’t know what to do about it.
Download the manual via the Beutler Ink blog, and he says he’s taking any and all feedback, with an eye to publish an expanded version next year.
