While Schaffer’s departure leaves the @tnr with big shoes to fill, the New Republic promotes @apsilverman and @lindakinstler to deputy editor and managing editor, respectively. The magazine also brings in @rebleber as a staff writer. Congrats to all!  @CQRollCall starts a new defense blog – Five by Five – focusing on national security issues. This is the second in a series of Policy Pulse blogs being rolled out on Roll Call and this will be run by longtime national security reporter @timstarks. Meanwhile, Senior editor @denisewills moves from @politico magazine, which she helped launch, to @TheAtlantic, where she will serve as senior editor. @sophieGG also joins the Atlantic, but on the weekly side.
