Last night I got a sneak peek at SAX’s new door policy: List Only. Talk about exclusivity done well, D.C.

Those fortunate to be on the “Privileged List” party included local celebs, R&B star Ginuwine, ABC7’s Scott Thuman, CW’s Paul Wharton, L2 Lounge’s Rodrigo Garcia, Thrillist’s Leo Schmid, PR masterminds, Dannia Hiaki and Erika Paola Gutierrez, and special guest Mixologist for Belvedere, Claire Smith. In addition to Belvedere cocktails and hors d’oeuvres that were passed around throughout the evening, guests were treated to burlesque/cabaret-styled performances on a glass enclosed stage situated above the main floor bar. The music and crowd were the perfect mix of sexy-chic, and paintings of the Presidential candidates duking it out added a unique lightness to the otherwise enigmatic and sultry venue.

There is no doubt SAX will be THE hotspot for those seeking a step above the typical night out in D.C. Tonight, the venue plays host to “Confessions,” and from what my sources tell me, it will be an evening of scintillating revelry.
