Rep. Barney Frank has been banned from the House Floor for a day – and not because of a dress code violation, but for breaking House rules for personally attacking another Member of Congress. [via WE]

Rep. Barney Frank, D-Mass., received a day-long ban from speaking on the House floor today, and the comments he had made were removed from the record, after he violated House rules with a personal attack on Rep. Jeb Hensarling, R-Texas.

Frank, who’s retiring at the end of his term, likely doesn’t care much.
