DC Wine Week and My Top Five Wine Bars
When I heard my talented friends Lisa Byrne (DCeventjunkie) and Vanessa French (Pivot Point Communications) were launching the first-ever DC Wine Week, I immediately wanted to know more. Immersed in DC’s social circles and known for their unique PR approach, Lisa and Vanessa have found a niche that has gone missing for far too long.
Our nation’s capitol has never been known as a wine city. Yet, it now plays host to a mecca of wine bars that exemplifies the increasing interest in the libation among DC professionals. And what better way to celebrate than with a week-long toast to everything wine? As a Wine Ambassador for the event, here are my top five wine bars and details regarding Wine Week:
Extras: Charlie Palmer’s and Bourbon Steak – they may be more of a restaurant than a wine bar but their selections (and Sommeliers) are fantastic.
