Friend of Famous DC Bill Beutler tells us about an upcoming documentary film that sounds awesome: “Our Nixon“, featuring never-before seen Nixon WH footage, and until May 6 you can contribute to help make it a reality.

Bet you didn’t know that, in addition to Richard Nixon’s secret White House recording system, his top White House advisers — H.R. “Bob” Haldeman, John Erhlichman, Dwight Chapin and Larry Higby were bonkers for Super 8 home movies. So much so in fact that they made at least 204 reels worth… until 1972, when they were taken away by the FBI during the Watergate investigation.

40 years later, few know about the footage and fewer have seen it. But now this feature-length “found footage” documentary, “Our Nixon” (by Penny Lane and Brian L. Frye), will compile the best of it and release it to the public for the first time.

The movie is in the editing phase and is currently seeking funding on Kickstarter to help complete it. There are 10 days left and you can contribute by clicking on this link.
