The Royal Wedding. We’ve heard about this momentous day for months now and it’s finally upon us. But the question remains, are you off your trolley enough to get up at the crack of dawn and share in the celebration? Bloody hell. 🙂

Well then, I’ve got just the ticket for you – my top five viewing locations for the wedding (plus some extras). Of course, I’ll be sitting in my bed because, let’s face it, I prefer my morning mimosa in my pjs. :-p

Union Jack’s (locations: Ballston, VA and Bethesda MD): British breakfast specials and bottomless mimosas and bloodies will begin at 5:30AM. Bonus: champagne toast for everyone in the house when the couple says “I do.” *I’ve also heard rumors that Mix 107.3 morning show host Jack Diamond will be broadcasting live from Ballston.

The Queen Vic (my personal fave based on the name alone): For you slackers who can’t get up at 5AM, this H Street British pub will be opening at noon and will display a recording of the wedding ceremony throughout the day. Specials include $5 Pimms Cups and Bucks Fizz, and any dame boasting a fancy hat gets a free shot.

Public House No. 7: This English pub will host a champagne brunch from 6AM-10AM while playing the wedding on tvs throughout the building. Enjoy specials on mimosas and other drinks throughout the day.

Ritz-Carlton: Breakfast and viewing party begins at 5AM. $40 and reservations are required.
Also, if you want to live like the Royals, make an overnight reservation for the 28th so you can wear your tiara (and slippers) down to the party.

Reynolds Tavern: This historic tavern in Annapolis will open at 5AM for breakfast and tea. Menu includes a traditional English breakfast and French toast with strawberries and cream. If you can play hooky from work, enjoy horse-drawn carriage rides after the televised wedding (between 10AM- 4PM). Free admission but reservations are encouraged.

Honorable Mention: The British Pantry. Again. Um, your bed!! 🙂

FamousDC thanks Nightlife Correspondent @BlairDC for sharing her favorite spots to watch the royal wedding.

Congrats William and Kate!
