It’s been a big week for Katie Harbath.  On Tuesday, video Harbath shot of her family at the Magic Kingdom was featured in a Disney Commercial.  Now, another exciting development:  She’s heading to Facebook. [Politico]

The social networking giant will announce today that Katie Harbath, the former chief digital strategist for the National Republican Senatorial Committee, is joining the Facebook team as it ramps up for the 2012 election cycle. A veteran of Rudy Giuliani’s presidential campaign and the Republican National Committee, Harbath will be tasked with reaching out to 2012 presidential hopefuls and expanding Facebook’s presence on the Hill. The Green Bay native will collaborate in Facebook’s DC office with Adam Conner, who has worked extensively to promote Facebook as a tool for members of Congress.

Sources say Katie is extremely excited about joining the team and all the great things they’ll do in 2012.
