Dude. [too much, too soon]

The 2012 congressional elections are 21 months away, but the House landscape is already beginning to take shape. Members are raising money, the candidate recruiting process is under way, and the party committees are busy torching the opposition in press releases.

Can’t they be “just warming up?”  Where do we go from “heating up” 21 months out?  At the least, can’t we get just four more months off?
