There’s a lot of shuffling happening on Capitol Hill. Below are a few recent announcements brought to you by Mike Allen’s Playbook.
CHRIS KOFINIS e-mails: “I am starting a new gig as Senator Joe Manchin’s Chief of Staff. … For a guy who grew up talking politics with his dad everyday, this is an exciting new chapter. More importantly, I wanted to thank all of you – working with you all, talking shop – over these many years has been an absolute joy.”
Rep.-elect Kristi Noem (R-S.D.) “announced the appointment of Jordan Stoick as her congressional chief of staff. Stoick [was] communications director for U.S. Sen. Roger Wicker of Mississippi. Previously, Stoick was press secretary for the Senate Republican Conference, for U.S. Rep. Shelley Moore Capito of West Virginia and former U.S. Rep. Bob Beauprez of Colorado. Stoick graduated from Mobridge [S.D.] High School in 1997.”
Rep.-elect Raul Labrador (R-Idaho) “is pleased to announce that John [‘Goody’] Goodwin has been appointed chief of staff … Goodwin was most recently federal liaison for the National Rifle Association in Washington, D.C. Prior to working for the NRA, Goodwin served as communications director for Rep. Peter Roskam of Illinois and press secretary for Connecticut Congressman Rob Simmons. A native of Rhode Island, John is a graduate of Marymount University. In addition to being a seasoned political and legislative operative, John is a lifelong hunter and fisherman.”
