Today was “Bike to Work Day” in Old Town, Alexandria. [although not according to the website]

The City of Alexandria annually recognizes national Bike to Work Day by celebrating and promoting bicycle commuting as an affordable, efficient, and environmentally friendly way of getting to work. Thousands of area commuters will ride their bikes to work on Friday, May 16 to demonstrate that the region’s transportation network makes bicycling throughout the City a feasible and safe travel option.

Unfortunately the city of Alexandria got the date wrong.  [Friday, May 16??]

Luckily people still showed up.
