… or at Least Try for a Good Cause
Here’s your chance at Major League Baseball glory…kinda. Horton’s Kids, a favorite charity of current and former Hill staffers, is holding its annual Home Runs for Horton’s Kids at Nationals Park on May 12th.
Attendees will get to bat on field with Nationals’ pitching staff, go on a tour of the stadium, get a photo with Screech (the mascot, not the Saved By the Bell character), and enjoy drinks and food at a private reception in the Lexus Presidents Club.
All proceeds from the event go directly to Horton’s Kids, which is doing great things for children in DC’s Ward 8 – providing tutoring, field trips, mentoring and basic health and wellness services. Just this year, tutors have logged over 8,000 hours with the kids and 75% of kids improved their reading fluency scores! Impressive stats.
For information or to purchase tickets, please contact Claire Radomski at 202.544.5033 x10 or [email protected]. Corporate sponsorships also available.
Who knows? Maybe you’ll be the Nats’ newest all-star. If not, you can drown your sorrows among friends while doing good for DC’s kids.
