Former Washington Times columnist Christian Bourge is launching a new Web site:
The Disenchanted Journo: News and ruminations on politics, policy and the good life……
Here is the email Mr. Bourge sent out earlier today:
Greetings and salutations:
I wanted to let everyone know about my new endeavor and update on what I am doing.
After leaving the Washington Times at the end of the year, I’ve looked around at the state of journalism and decided to take the plunge into the blogosphere as I work on a book and freelance investigative work.
Launched today, The Disenchanted Journo blog – www.thedisenchantedjourno.com – will include breaking news and ruminations on politics and policy along with regular discussions of the good life – food, wine, and cigars.
In a way it is a return to covering Capitol Hill as I will be back on the beat, but on a decidedly looser deadline, and a beginning to the column I was supposed to but never allowed to launch at the Times. So those of you in Congress can expect me to pester you on occasion and those of you who thought the column was sure to be a good read, at least that is what you said to my face, will hopefully enjoy what I write.
It’s still at its infancy, but please take a look and let me know what you think either via email or on the site and keep reading as there is much more to come. I appreciate any feedback and interest.
FamousDC wishes the best of luck to the cigar connoisseur.
