It’s hard to believe that DC radio personality Tommy McFly wanted to be a lawyer when he grew up. Lucky for those who tune in daily to his radio show, he chose a much more rewarding career. Right now Tommy McFly can be heard at nights on MiX 107.3. When he’s not on the radio, you’ll likely spot him hitting the town. We’re stoked he slowed down for a moment to take part in our Famous 5 series.
1 You’ve been called hot by Tyra Banks, which FamousDC celeb do you consider hot and why?
“Alison Starling (WJLA). I have a thing for broadcast news gals.”
2 What is your favorite and least favorite part about Washington, DC?
HATE: “I hate diplomats behind the wheel. While I can’t even look at a parking spot in Georgetown without getting a ticket, it’s totally acceptable for diplomats to drive on the wrong side of the road, through red lights and on sidewalks.”

LOVE: “Though many of my jaded Washington friends think it’s corny, I love the monuments – especially at night. Driving past them gets me really amped to live in DC.”
3 With a name like "McFly" you too must be pissed that it’s 2010 and we don’t have hover boards. When can we expect these to arrive in the greater Washington, D.C. area?
“Funny you should ask because I just posed that exact question to a few pals in the hover board industry. They assured me that we’d receive our shipment before the Redskins win another Super Bowl.”
4 President Obama calls you on a Friday afternoon and says, "McFly, I’m kicking it with you this weekend." Where do you two end up going?
“ We’d round up the motorcade and head down 66 to Oasis Winery where we’d crash a Salahi wine tasting. After killing a few of their finest bottles (most likely repackaged Franzia), we’d take on the nation’s hot button issues.“
5 What the hell do we have to do to get a FamousDC shout out on the radio? Dog walk?
“Done. If you listened to my show, you’d know I don’t have standards.”
