If ruining your body for 26.2 miles isn’t your idea of a good time — perhaps this is more your speed.

Sister Cities International is hosting the inaugural 5k race and DC’s first “World Culture Festival” tomorrow (Saturday). Several embassy leaders will be present, with leaders from China, India and Kenya. The Miss DC organization is also participating and Miss Teen DC will be attending the World Culture Festival.

No word as to why Miss Teen DC isn’t running.

The race starts at 9am, with the World Culture Festival beginning at 10am. Both are in the Foggy Bottom/ GW neighborhood. The race and event are open to the public. Costumes are encouraged.

*Note:  We don’t actually know if they’ll be handing out bagels after the 5K, but if they’re not, they should.  It’s for World Peace.
