Tom DeLay’s Dancing With the Stars partner Cheryl Burke recently admitted she was a little nervous that the former politician was going to be a "grumpy old man." She was happy to learn otherwise.  [hammer or softy?]

"He’s a really nice guy and he’s such a family man," Burke says. "He’s just like a normal guy who was in politics. But this show isn’t about politics, so hopefully they give him a chance."

DeLay might have a chance on the show, so long as he leaves those really awesome sweat pants he rehearses in at home.
