The DCCC recently blasted NRCC spokesman Paul Lindsay. According to the DCCC flack Ryan Rudominer, it seems as if Lindsay is talking out of both ends. [we thought political committees were supposed to attack Members of Congress]
The Democratic political committee sent out an In Case You Missed It that highlighted a story that first appeared in the St. Charles Sun.
ICYMI – Telling tales: Meet Paul Lindsay
With a nudge-nudge wink-wink beyond anything a Monty Python sketch could imagine, the National Republican Congressional Committee spokesman insinuated and inferred in online postings, e-mails to reporters and quotes that Foster was lying when he said he was in the Middle Eastfrom Aug. 16 to 21 and instead was dodging public input on health care.
What’s unclear is whether this move by the DCCC to attack a fellow spokesman is cheap or deserved. Regardless, Lindsay got fired up and took it upon himself to respond to Ryan Rudominer and the entire DCCC via email.
I’d introduce myself, but since you’ve read the below story you’ve apparently already “met” me. I know it’s been a tough month for you. I feel for you. As a Republican who has gone through the past two election cycles, I too know what it’s like trying to keep your head above water when public opinion is not always on your side. Trust me, it doesn’t get any better from this point forward.
That said, I’m glad you were able to have a little fun at my expense. I’m also glad you alerted your press list to a story that further confirms the point I was trying to make in the first place – that Bill Foster disappeared for five days this August with no explanation:
Lindsay continued with a long artful explanation as to why he’s awesome and why the DCCC is not, but we didn’t stay awake long enough to read it.
