SUMMARY: If you’re in a match-up this week, go get your tweet on! Starting next week (Round 2) the FamousDC readers will help determine the winners by voting.
At the beginning of March we announced the FamousDC Twitter Challenge.
Our goal: To find out who is the top DC Twit. The participants were chosen by you the viewer.
Since the DC Tweet competition is taking place in DC, we’ve appropriately broken the bracket into quadrants. Head to head match-ups will be based on the following criteria: [but not limited to]
1. Number of actual tweets
2. Creativity
3. Interaction with other Twits
4. Stats complied from Twellow
5. Trash talk [highly encouraged and will be rewarded accordingly.]
Participants are also encouraged to use the #FDC hashtag to help promote their tweets, although using the tag or replying to @FamousDC is not required. The purpose of this is challenge is to monitor the daily tweetage of each contestant. This competition is more about what folks are saying and who is listening, rather than who can fire off the most tweets in one day. And remember, creativity counts. If you tweet about going to bed, we will deduct points.
As the competition grows, we will offer polls to help determine which Twit should advance to the next round.
Today’s match ups come out of the NW quadrant: [remember, competition begins at 4pm, although the trash talking can start anytime]
