It seems as if Alex Rodriguez has called on Republican communicators to help coach him through his latest PR nightmare.  No, not the one that suggests that Madonna occasionally lets him steal home, but the one that has him apologizing for injecting banned substances into his derriere.

One of the said communicators is former McCain guy Ben Porritt, who currently works at the firm Outside Eyes.  According to our sources, Porritt, who doesn’t look a day older than 16, used to be Kevin “Maddog” Madden’s deputy.  We even hear that Porritt began to talk like Madden after the two spent so much time together – hence the nickname, Mini-Maddog.

What’s even more interesting is that Outside Eyes is the same firm that swooped in to help Gov. Palin when she was continually pooping the nest during the presidential campaign.  Palin, at the time, was being criticized by for being “unseasoned.”  Strangely enough, some of those attacks were levied by former Romney flack Kevin Madden.

Regardless, it looks like young grasshopper is doing just fine these days.  We tip our hat to you Mr. Porritt.
