The Chicago Tribune’s Jill Zuckman is the latest reporter to leave the booming newspaper industry in order to join the Obama Administration. Zuckman’s heading to the Transportation Dept. as assistant to Secretary Ray LaHood and director of public affairs.

And she’s excited.

“I’m so excited about this. I think this is going to be really fun…”

Every time someone sneezes in this country, another person loses their job.  There’s nothing fun about that.

She continued:

“There is so much money for transportation projects around the country…”
