According to our friend Anne over at the Politico, Brian Schubert, the House Republican Communications Director, came in second two nights ago in a charity poker tournament.

Turns out last night the House Republican Conference spokesman finished second in the Poker Players big charity poker game, beating a number of members and even a low-level poker pro.

The good news for Second Place Schubert, he has bragging rights for a few days.

The bad news … this is the most press he’s gotten in quite a while.  Well, at least that’s what our jealous trusty tipster tells us ☺
