Weekend Picks: Let’s Go 2013!

Head on over to the Phillips Collection for their monthly after 5 programming. Tonight will feature a lego contest, Belgium beer tasting and a look through the gallery’s latest exhibits. $12, tickets available at the door but reservations are encouraged.

Django Unchained, Les Miserables, Anna Karenina, The Hobbit, Jack Reacher, Lincoln, Silver Linings Playbook and more are all up at the movies making it a great weekend to catch a show or two as we rush toward award season.

If you don’t want to bite your nails off watching the game, never fear there’s plenty to do Sunday evening and top of our list is SpeakeasyDC. These storyteller performances are always a crowd pleaser, and this Sunday is not to be missed as it will feature the best of performances from past SpeakeasyDC shows. $20 – we suggest you buy your ticket in advance.

FamousDC was at the last show the 9 put on and we couldn’t give it a higher recommendation. Justin Trawick with 8 other singers and songwriters will perform Sunday night at one of our favorite venues, the Hamilton Live. Get your tickets, only $12 – so worth a night out.
