Weekend Picks: Let It Snow

Remember that one time you went to Third Edition as a sophomore in college? Yea, well chalk this up to THT as it’s Third’s last edition tonight before they close. Swing by for some fun and reminiscing of the good (and sometimes bad) old days.

Third Edition not your thing? That’s ok, because it’s Dude Fest tonight too – a celebration of the big Lebowski complete with theme music, trivia and costumes. Might want to leave work early as we hear there’s a run on tacky robes…

This is not your average Karaoke night, but rather a winner takes all, no holds barred vocal smack down. We highly suggest paying the $1 to get into Rock and Roll Hotel tonight to see the best of H Street sing like there’s no tomorrow (and if there is a tomorrow, something tells us it will be slightly painful and involve aspirin).

It’s closing weekend for this spectacular show and there’s nothing that makes you feel more DC than stopping by the Kennedy Center and then heading out for a few cocktails. See and be scene by the district’s art crowd and be on the lookout for DC celebs – Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg is a regular.

Stop by this Capitol Hill favorite for a great selection of wine and a warm fireplace in their upstairs lounge. It’s the perfect spot for date night or just enjoying a cozy evening with friends. Get there  early so you can post up near the window and people watch.

There is beer and it’s inside. Enough said – this is your chance to show up all your runner friends by participating in a race and supporting a good cause. Did we mention there’s also beer?
