On Wednesday night at the Washington Hilton, the National Press Foundation honored some of America’s most distinguished journalists at its 32nd Annual Awards Dinner. The dinner, co-chaired by Robert DeFillippo of Prudential Financial and Amos Snead of Story Partners, brings in NPF’s largest source of unrestricted funding.

ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos, winner of the 2015 Sol Taisoff Award for Excellence in Broadcast Journalism, started the dinner off with a bang. Discussing his interview with Dennis Rodman, Stephanopoulos joked, “In the course of my career, I’ve interviewed people that I think… were drunk. Times I’ve interviewed people I think were high. I’ve also interviewed people who were hung over–never all three at the same time.”
