Well, Now We Know Why Twitter Didn’t Win The Nobel Peace Prize
November 10, 2009
Apparently, someone decided to run the numbers, and that whole Twitter Iran revolution thing wasn’t really a thing at all, considering only .027% of Iranians are on Twitter, and that doesn’t count those sneaky little folks who switched their home location on Twitter to Tehran when the events unfolded. [um, .027%]
.027%…a similar percentage of Twitter junkies who went on dates last week…just kidding…sort of.
Reminder: One month ago yesterday, our president won a Nobel prize for providing peace.

Don’t put so much weight in the raw numbers, Mr. (or Mrs.?) Capitol Cad, but more importantly as the Christian Science Monitor pointed out: “When traditional journalists were forced to leave the country, Twitter became a window for the world to view hope, heroism, and horror. It became the assignment desk, the reporter, and the producer. … Twitter and other social media outlets have become the soft weapons of democracy.”
I
n other words, about .027 percent of DC knows what the hell Famous DC is, but its reach is…well bad example, you guys are less than .027.
Ok, off to my date! Nah, who am I kidding.
