Ask a Silly Question, get a Civics Lesson.

July 28, 2009

In a press release this afternoon the DCCC posed the following question:

Senator Cornyn Votes NO on Sotomayor – Where is Rep. Pete Sessions?

Answer:

In the House.

Not voting on a Supreme Court nominee.

They only do that in the Senate.

You’re welcome.

(PS: Next time run your releases by Ms. Crider. She knows this stuff.)

and while we are on the subject, let me repeat this often asked question:

    Where is Sen. Lautenberg?

    Some suggestions:

On I95 looking for the Trenton Exit
Waiting for a black market kidney that he can afford
    Planning Bob Torecelli’s comeback
Planning a primary run against Gov. Corzine
    Trying to remember….anything
Admiring the signage on the Secaucus Junction Amtrak Station –see: (www.bridgeandtunnelclub.com/bigmap/outoftown/newjersey/hudsoncounty/secaucusjunction/index.htm) where one Jimmy Hoffa is rumored to be resting.
