#FDC Ruffini Wins Despite Cox Slam

The first ever #FDC overtime match proved to be classic Quaker on Quaker action….
Madden came out swinging and showed he was a force to be reckoned with, despite that fact that he was working the Obama Presser. The trash talking got so heated, Rahm-bo told Madden to "Shut the f*ck up."

Madden’s momentum grew throughout the evening when @AnaMarieCox, who was dubbed the ACORN of Twitter , encouraged her 223,000 followers to vote for @mikemadden . But that didn’t stop Ruffini from hustlin. He even managed late-breaking endorsement by RNC powerhouse @sanuzis.

When it came down to the wire, Ruffini was better able to mobilize early morning votes and drop ridiculous hashtags, while Madden was left to admit he didn’t have much of a GOTV effort. Luckily for Madden, his lack of grassroots organization didn’t matter because @anamariecox was on a one woman mission and claimed that if @patrickruffini won this overtime battle, puppies would die .

In the end, the overtime battle produced 1090 votes. Ruffini locked up 550 of them – leaving Madden only 10 votes shy.
