Nancy Pelosi becomes the first Speaker of the House and who swears her into office? The Dean of the House, John Dingell. FRIENDS

Fellow Californian Henry Waxman decides to take the Energy and Commerce Chairmanship over Dingell and the Speaker allows it. ENEMIES

We’ll she how this shakes out, but we wouldn’t bet against the gentlewoman from Baltimore.
